For sofa materials, it is divided into fabric sofas and leather sofas. In addition to the difference in materials, there are some commonalities between the two.
The frame
Leather and fabric sofas on the market will choose to use wood as the overall structural framework.
When choosing a sofa, you first have to check the firmness and density of the frame. Try to lift one foot of the couch, the other side is also off the ground, and the middle frame is not bent, the firmness is acceptable; If the sofa is too light, then the frame quality is not good or the density of the filling is not enough.
Many modern fabric sofas have a wooden bench to carry the appearance. This part is tested by a standard reference frame, and exposed wood is easier to distinguish. From its appearance, structure, and weight, you can judge whether it is real raw wood.
For leather sofas, focus on the back and lower appearance. Non-brand manufacturers are easy to fake the real in these places and inferior to the better. The texture is soft, the hand is smooth, the thickness is uniform, and it is the best leather without wrinkles and spots. In addition, the fineness of the wooden part, the level of use of curves are important factors to measure its value.
The filler
Secondly, you need to inspect the filling of the sofa.
You only need to sit on the sofa in a slight fall, have a bouncing feeling(two strokes is better), observe the rebound speed after pressing, and sit down with a depression range of 8 CM. If you press on the armrest, if you easily press the inner frame, the filling density is not easy to wear.
The fabric
The difference between the hair of the leather sofa and the fabric sofa is mainly reflected in the outer fabric.
For fabric sofas, pay attention to identify whether the fabric is a professional sofa fabric or an ordinary curtain fabric. The former has better density and tensile strength. You can tell it by looking at it with your eyes and touching it with your hands.
Imported skins:The inlet skin is characterized by its thickness, especially at the sutures.
Domestic leather:Compared with imported leather, it is thin and has poor wear resistance.
There are several ways to teach you to recognize genuine and imitation leather:
- The surface of real leather has clearer pores and patterns, while imitation leather is mostly too smooth or rough and has no natural texture.
If you touch the surface of the leather with your hands, if it feels smooth, soft, plump and elastic, it is genuine leather. If it is imitation leather, it will feel rigid to the touch and have poor softness.
Smell the sofa, the leather sofa has a natural leather smell, and the imitation leather will have a strong pungent plastic smell.
A little fiber can be cut from the corners or bottom, and the dermis tastes a bit like burnt hair without pimples. And when the imitation skin is ignited, it will emit a pungent smell and form a pimple.
